Eligibility to play
All players are entitled to participate who can present a playing permit according to the official regulations of their home association. All players may only play for one team at a time. Players' passports and identification documents must be carried.
Playground equipment
The game is played with a special beach handball. At least 2 balls will be provided at each court.
The substitutes are also required to collect balls that have been thrown out of bounds and put them back into play.
Playing field
The entire playing surface is 27 meters long and 12 meters wide. It consists of a playing field and two 6-meter goal areas.
The gate is 2 meters high and 3 meters wide.
The substitution areas are located at the side of the field (goalkeeper change in the goal area) and are maintained when changing sides.
Playing time
A game lasts 2 x 7 minutes; each half starts with a referee throw.
If a half ends in a draw, it shall be decided by golden goal. For this purpose, as at the start of each half, the throw-off shall be made by the referee.
The 1-minute halftime is used to change sides.
The referee opens and ends the game with a signal whistle. There are no time-outs; however, the referees may interrupt the ongoing game due to special incidents.
If each team wins a half, it goes directly to the shootout for both teams:
The player starts from his/her own goal area, passes the ball to his/her own goalkeeper, receives the ball from his/her own goalkeeper on the way to the opponent's goal and then throws at the opponent's goal. If the ball touches the ground or the player walks more than three steps after catching the ball, the attempt is invalid. Three players always take turns throwing at the goal. If the score is tied at the end of the shootout, the players take turns throwing until one team takes an unassailable lead.
The winner of the shootout round gets 2:1 sets in the standings.
In the shootout, two points are awarded for the "Kempa trick" and the "spin shot" and one point is awarded for the usual goal throws.
Number of players on the field
m/f B-youth: 4 players from each team (3 field players and 1 goalkeeper)
m/f C-youth: 4 players from each team (3 field players and 1 goalkeeper)
m/f D-youth: 5 players from each team (4 field players and 1 goalkeeper)
m/f E-youth: 5 players from each team (4 field players and 1 goalkeeper)
There is no limit to the number of substitutes.
Equipment
All field players of a team must wear uniform clothing. In addition to bare feet, playing in standard athletic/cotton socks is permitted; any footwear, including neoprene/toe shoes, is prohibited.
The carrying of objects that pose a risk of injury is prohibited; the assessment is the sole responsibility of the referees.
Goalkeeper
Goalkeepers may leave the goal area without the ball when they have possession and act as outfield players.
Goalkeepers' goals are always scored with 2 points.
Special regulations
After an ejection for an infraction, the ejected player or a substitute may re-enter the field after a change of possession. A second ejection means disqualification for the current game. Pitching for the ball lying or rolling in the sand is allowed; the ball can be held in this way for a maximum of 3 seconds before it must be played.
The referees and tournament officials are entitled to exclude players from the entire tournament in case of particularly unsportsmanlike offenses on or off the field.
Score
It is up to the referee to reward particularly attractive goals (e.g. 360° goals, "Kempa trick" or technically creative goals) with 2 points. Goals scored on a 6-meter throw are always awarded 2 points.
In the knockout matches, as in the group matches, the decision will be made by a shootout if both teams have won one regular half each.
If a team is late (2 minutes after the official start of the match) or does not appear, the match is considered lost with 0:2 sets and won for the opponent with 14:0 goals. In case of tardiness through no fault of the team, the tournament management will decide whether the match will be rescheduled. Should a team cause the match to be abandoned, the match is also considered lost with 0:2 sets and won for the opponent with 14:0 goals. This also applies to gross unsportsmanlike conduct outside the playing field. In this case, the tournament management has the right to exclude the team in question from the further course of the tournament.
For the group matches the goal difference decides in case of equal points, in case of equal goal difference the number of scored goals decides. If the number of goals scored is equal, the direct comparison between the teams decides. If there is also equality here, the winner will be determined by drawing lots.
Nature and environment
No glass bottles may be taken to the beach. Garbage is to be collected in garbage bags and disposed of in the garbage containers provided on site (sufficient garbage bags are available at the tournament management).
Fair Play
The health and integrity of all participants are top priority at our tournaments. Fun, joy and sportsmanship are always in the foreground.
The decisions of the referees must be followed without reservation.
Thank you for your care and support. We wish you an unforgettable and exciting weekend with many goals, lots of action and of course the best beach weather!
